It might be performed for 45 to 60 mins. Oil will be applied to the whole body which starts from the Head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>It improves skin health<\/li><li>Helps in anti-ageing, skin hydrated and avoids wrinkles<\/li><li>strengthens bones and joints<\/li><li>Strengthens Nerves<\/li><li>Sound sleep<\/li><li>Removes Stress and anti-anxiety<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Snehana (Oleation)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The person&#8217;s eyes will be tied with a cloth. Medicated cotton balls will be inserted in the nostrils. Medicated Kashaya will be given to the person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Swedana<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Hot Fomentation (Moist heat) is applied on the same areas as that of Abhyanga. It is performed for about 10 to 15 mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Relaxes muscles and nerves<\/li><li>Improves Blood supply<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shirodhara Therapy<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pouring medicated Herbal Oil on the head. During this treatment, the person will lie down with the head position tilted. During Shirodhara, the oil pouring vessel will be oscillating. The oil temperature is maintained at 40 degrees throughout the treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Good quality sleep<\/li><li>Boosts memory<\/li><li>Calms the nervous system<\/li><li>Improves blood circulation to the brain<\/li><li>Controls high blood pressure<\/li><li>Relives from Stress, Anxiety, depression, fatigue, Migraine etc<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Shirodhara can be performed with any of these based on the Dosha<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thaila Dhara (using oil)<\/li><li>Thakra Dhara (using medicated buttermilk or buttermilk)<\/li><li>Ghee Dhara (Using Ghee)<\/li><li>Jala Dhara (Using water)<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shiro Basti<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>During this treatment, the person will be in a sitting position followed by the massage. Later an elongated cap is tied to the head and warm Medicated oil will be poured into the cap. The medicated oil will be retained for about 20 mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Prevents hair falls<\/li><li>Used to treat Alzheimer, Parkinson\u2019s<\/li><li>Relives from anxiety, Depression<\/li><li>Used to treat Insomnia<\/li><li>Strengthens hair roots<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Siro Pichu<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Head will be massaged with a medicated oil. Later, Medicated Oil soaked cotton clothes will be placed on top of the head. This treatment is good for the scalp and head as a whole. This treatment is performed for about 20 to 30 mins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pacify the brain and nervous system<\/li><li>Relaxed mind and body<\/li><li>Removes scalp issues<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virechana (Detoxification of the Body)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Chitrakadi Vati along with Tulasi will be given to the patient followed by Gritha Pana (Pure Ghee). This process removes the toxins accumulated in the body. Medicated oil will be inserted into the persons Anal thru Rubber catheter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Used to treat Stress, Anxiety, Depression<\/li><li>Mind relaxation<\/li><li>Used to treat persons who work for long hours, travel <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anuvasana Basti<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Medicated oil administered thru Anal. 100 to 250 ml dosage will be administered during the therapy based on the patient\u2019s condition. This Therapy is followed right after lunch. The dosage will be retained for about 3 hours inside the Anal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Used to treat backaches, Sciatica and other Neurological and arthritis conditions.<\/li><li>Chronic fevers<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Niruha Basti (Decoction Enema)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to this, Snehan (Oleation) and Swedana will be performed. This Rasayana will be administered thru Anal gently Usually, this Chikitsa will be performed between 10 am and 11 am. This treatment should be performed  on a auspicious day in Shukla Paksha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingredients used to prepared Medical Decoction<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Hot water 150 ml<\/li><li>Honey 50 ml<\/li><li>Saindhava Lavana &#8211; 10 gm<\/li><li>Dhanvantara Thailam &#8211; 60 ml<\/li><li>Shatapushpa Powder &#8211; 5 gm<\/li><li>Madhana Pala Powder &#8211; 5 gm<\/li><li>Dhanvantara Kashaya &#8211; 25 ml<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nasya Therapy<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Oil massage will be applied on the face followed by steam. Medicated lukewarm oil will be poured gently into the nostrils. Later, Medicated smoke is inhaled thru the nose and mouth. Relieves from headaches and respiratory problem.
